Decorating Sweets (K-5th)

Decorating Sweets is a creative art with food class. We can't think of anything more fun than decorating sweets. We will provide an assortment of ideas and edible decorations to let both taste and imagination run wild! This is a great opportunity to learn how to decorate cupcakes, cake pops, cake bites, with fondant, gum paste and chocolate. Each session is completely different from the previous one so our students will have fun regardless of how many times they take this class.

 

Hungry Hungry Science (K-5th)

Need some science to sink your teeth into? In Hungry Hungry Science we will explore different scientific concepts using food as our main vehicle for experimentation. We will not only use ingredients to explain different ideas through simple recipes, but make edible experiments as well to learn about reactions, acids & basis, biology, nutrition and more! If you haven’t had your fill of science fun, come fill your bellies in Hungry Hungry Science.

 

PreK Drawing (PK-1st)

Our mission is to encourage your preschooler's enthusiasm for art. Young Rembrandts introduces preschoolers to visual expression through drawing and develops kindergarten readiness skills, using structured step-wise instruction. Preschoolers learn to recognize and build on the simple shapes that comprise familiar images, broadening their knowledge base and promoting cognitive integration. Preschoolers develop visual-motor processing and fine motor skills while creating their own fun and colorful artwork. New lesson every week with three-year curriculum! Students never see a repeat lesson while enrolled through the Pre-K years.

 

Website Design (2nd-5th)

Introduce your child to the fascinating world of website design! Utilizing an intuitive website builder, our young learners will discover the fundamentals of website design, responsive layouts, and multimedia integration. Our instructors will provide a supportive and hands-on learning environment, encouraging students to develop their creativity and digital skills. By the end of the course, each child will have designed their very own website, showcasing their unique interests and talents. Let’s embark on a creative journey that will spark your child’s imagination and foster a lifelong interest in technology and design.


TUESDAYS

Chess (K-5th)

Beginners learn the fundamentals & strengthen their skills. Intermediate students focus on tactics & strategies. State champion Coach Charlie Edelman teaches puzzles, tournaments, stories, and more to keep kids hungry for learning and play!

 

Create-N-Sniff (K-5th)

Experience the magical world of Create-N-Sniff, where art comes alive with the power of scent! Imagine creating a masterpiece that not only looks beautiful but smells incredible too. Whether it's sculpting a tempting birthday cake or painting an ocean scene that fills the air with a refreshing breeze, this art camp offers a sensory delight like no other. Come create vibrant masterpieces that engage your senses. Get ready to unleash your creativity and explore the stunning connection between sight and scent at Create-N-Sniff! 

 

Minecraft Engineering using LEGO® Materials (K-2nd)

Venture into the world of Minecraft in our unique LEGO® experience. Get ready to build your base, craft your tools, use your Minecart to harvest raw resources, and battle to stop the Ender Dragon from ending the world. Come explore the endless possibilities of LEGO® with a trained Play-Well instructor.

 

Thinking Outside the Box (K-5th) 

A fun way of learning creative thinking and problem solving! Do your children think they have all the answers? “Thinking Outside the Box" is just the right thing for them! This class will give your child the opportunity to learn how to think on their feet and spend time in a wonderfully stimulating and creative environment while learning how to tackle challenging problems. Students participate in brainstorm sessions, learn problem solving and conflict resolution methods and techniques, develop creative and critical thinking, effective communication, team building and leadership skills. Class focuses on fun and unusual hands-on activities and projects in which children use their imagination to build and create all sorts of contraptions, structures, bridges, vehicles, creatures, etc. out of all kinds of materials such as pasta, marshmallows, straws, toothpicks, cups, elastic bands, paper, clay, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, bubble wrap, yarn, duck tape, card board, etc. Most importantly, children will have fun and apply their creative and critical thinking while learning crucial concepts and skills for the new digital increasingly complex and challenging world.


WEDNESDAYS

Bath Bomb Explosions Bath Bomb Making Class (K-5th)

Students will enjoy measuring, pouring, mixing, and experimenting with different colors, scents, and recipes in this fun bath bomb class. Each class will be filled with fun and cool new techniques to try different types of bath bombs to use or gift. What a fun new hobby!

 

Battle Robots (2nd-5th) 

Let’s duke it out, RoboThink-style! In this competitive camp, students will be building and customizing a variety of different battle robots, then competing in a wide range of different activities. By using gears, motors, axles and our own special hardware, your child will be in for the battle of a lifetime. No experience necessary, just come battle and have fun!

 

Ready to Run (K-5th)

The core objectives of the Kids Run This Town training program are to develop physical, emotional and social skills. We transform traditional running games and drills into powerful life lessons. Each week kids will engage in an organized, goal-oriented running program that combines instruction on key running concepts with practical demonstrations of and participation in running activities. Kids will develop character skills, such as good sportsmanship, perseverance, keeping a positive attitude, setting and achieving goals, and understanding the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. 

The Kids Run This Town training program lasts one hour and is divided into three main areas. Warm-up and discussion, drill of the day, and end of class game. We want children to leave practice both sweaty and smiling. Participants will be encouraged to engage in running/walking or other physical activities every other day to absorb the concept of regular physical activity. Kids Run This Town training program emphasizes participation in the sport of running as part of a healthy lifestyle, regardless of pace, experience, or ability level. This program is ideal for new runners in grades K-5th.

 

Theatre: Superheroes & Villains (K-2nd) 

ETC to the rescue! Come create stories about superheroes and villains with ETC. Using the superpowers of imagination and creativity, students will collaborate to workshop their evil supervillain laugh, their best superhero stance, and play different games to save the day. With superhero tales and teamwork, students will create their own superhero stories.


THURSDAYS

Kaizen Karate (K-5th)

Karate: this popular class is a disciplined introduction to the sport by Kaizen Karate. Your child will learn the beautiful art of karate while gaining safety and defensive skills in a respectful environment. The class will also emphasize the basic karate principles of focus, patience and self-discipline. Returning students will continue to work toward new belts while first time students will be able to start the belt program. (Instruction provided by Kaizen Karate)

 

LEGO EV3 Robotics & Coding (3rd-5th) 

Software: Lego Mindstorm Ev3 

Skill Level: Beg.-Int.

Powered by the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education Ev3 Base Set and Software, our Lego Robotics class combines the exciting world of Lego with programming to manipulate and program your own personal robot. Learn how to use the simple, but powerful software to create commands with drag and-drop visual programming. Configure different sensors that track motion, light, & touch to create the ultimate robot! Students will work together as a small team of young engineers to build and program their designs. This class is great for children who are hands on and like working together in small teams.

 

Let's Be Creative (K-5th) 

Creating is a fun and exciting way for children to express themselves. Lines, shapes, shading, color, texture and more will be explored in Let's Be Creative. Using active imagination, stories, music and visual references, students experience how elements of drawing, painting and sculpture magically give form to themes from nature, everyday life, fantasy and the inner world of your child. Each session presents new and fun themes. It is also valuable to explore a familiar theme using different materials and reworking it in new and exciting ways.

MusicStart: Keyboarding for Beginners (K-3rd) 

MusicStart® is a patented progressive music learning system that balances fun and development of skills. Using familiar songs, it teaches all the necessary basics to get started playing music. The MusicStart® Keyboard is especially designed for learning. It uses 4 instructive attachments that vary the challenge from color matching to letter matching to note matching and reading standard musical notation. FRIDAYS

Baroody Bakes (K-5th) 

There's never a time to say no to fresh baked breads and pastries. Each day, children will get a chance to create a yummy treat from pies to loaves of bread, cupcakes and biscuits. There is SURE to be something they find irresistible.

 

Basketball (2nd-5th)

Our coaches will help children of any skill level improve their shooting, ball handling, defense and rebounding while having fun in a lightly competitive environment. Players will work together and compete while they have fun playing in basketball related games like Knockout, Dribble Wars, and Sharks and Minnows. Students will also play in age-appropriate half-court and full-court games.

Destiny Dance will offer very clear and concise training for all ages. Our modern classes will introduce students to the practices and principles of modern dance. Students will dive into concepts of alignment, work diligently to develop strength, flexibility, coordination, musicality, and articulation. They will learn to be focused and disciplined as well as learn how to work well with their classmates.
