MONDAYS

The Science Seed PK-1st

The Science Seed™ introduces children to the various disciplines of science, including geology, chemistry, biology, physics and nature. Classes are taught in fun, interactive and age appropriate ways to ensure that your child not only enjoys science, but builds a foundation for a love of science and learning that grows with them. Each class includes a note for the parents about what was taught and how you can continue the lesson at home. In addition, the concept of scientists as notetakers, journalists, writers and authors is introduced with their science journals that the students will bring home on the last day.

 

*Topics will be different for each session throughout the school year

 

Karate K-5th

​​Zen Budo Karate teaches the Japanese art of self defense in an after school class format. Students learn punching and kicking skills, target and pad practice, self control and discipline and how to follow instructions alongside leadership skills. Students can advance in belt rank, learn memorized patterns, escapes from grabs, and the basics of martial arts.

 

Uniforms are required and included in the class price. If you already own a uniform, please use the coupon code karate30w25 to deduct the price of the uniform cost. Uniform fees are non-refundable should your student withdraw from their class.

 

Chemistry Creations 1st-5th

Who didn't grow up absolutely LOVING chemistry and all that comes with it? Each week, kiddos will use a science experiments, to really get an understanding on how chemical reactions work.



TUESDAYS

Chess K-5th

Beginners learn the fundamentals & strengthen their skills. Intermediate students focus on tactics & strategies. State champion Coach Charlie Edelman teaches puzzles, tournaments, stories, and more to keep kids hungry for learning and play!

 

Kids on Canvas K-5th

Grab a paintbrush and jump right in for a colorful Kids on Canvas adventure! Use acrylic paint to explore painting subjects such as the figure, landscape and still life - with a fresh Abrakadoodle twist! We use our imaginations and inspiration from a different artist each week to create with paint in a variety of ways!

 

LEGO®: Pokémon Engineering K-2nd

Calling all Pokémon trainers! With the Pokémon Championship approaching, join our enthusiastic Play-Well Instructors as we build and catch our favorite Pokémon, rescue Pikachu from Team Rocket, take a ride on the S.S. Anne to uncover rare and mystic Pokémon, and battle to see who will hold the title of Pokémon Master. Come along on our journey to catch 'em all!!


WEDNESDAYS

Theatre: Swashbucklers and Scalawags K-2nd

Transform into treasure hunters, world explorers, daring pirates and more! Character development, vocal dexterity, physical awareness, and teamwork are just some of the skills young scalawags will learn while wandering the seven seas. ETC sets sail on a theatre piece that will be a swashbuckling good time. Family and friends are invited to a sharing of the plunder and performance on the last day of class.

 

Rumble Robotics 2nd-5th

Welcome to Rumble Robotics, where young aspiring engineers dive into the thrilling world of Battle Robots in bite-sized sessions! In just an hour, kids step into an action-packed adventure, building and battling their own spinning tops, commanding robot knights in epic duels, and racing their custom-designed cars. Our program simplifies the excitement, making it perfect for beginners - no experience required. With gears, axles, motors, and our cutting-edge RoboThink mainboards, young minds unleash their creativity and engineering skills. Get ready for an hour filled with fun, learning, and adrenaline-pumping challenges!

 

Ready to Run K-5th

The core objectives of the Kids Run This Town training program are to develop physical, emotional and social skills. We transform traditional running games and drills into powerful life lessons. Each week kids will engage in an organized, goal-oriented running program that combines instruction on key running concepts with practical demonstrations of and participation in running activities. Kids will develop character skills, such as good sportsmanship, perseverance, keeping a positive attitude, setting and achieving goals, and understanding the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. 

 

The Kids Run This Town training program lasts one hour and is divided into three main areas. Warm-up and discussion, drill of the day, and end of class game. We want children to leave practice both sweaty and smiling. Participants will be encouraged to engage in running/walking or other physical activities every other day to absorb the concept of regular physical activity. Kids Run This Town training program emphasizes participation in the sport of running as part of a healthy lifestyle, regardless of pace, experience, or ability level. This program is ideal for new runners in grades K-6th.


THURSDAYS

Minecraft Animations 1st-2nd

Software: Mine-imator 

Skill Level: Beg.

 

In this class, younger students will learn how characters move and look alive in movies and video games! They will be introduced to basic 2D and 3D animation techniques using Minecraft characters and stages. Kids will expand their perception, observation, and timing skills, as well as exercise their imagination and storytelling by studying motion in reality; then applying it to animation. Students will learn how animators work by completing a variety of short animation exercises and projects. They will apply acting theories and animation principles to scenes they create. Theatre: Page to Stage 3rd-5th

Kids call the shots as they create their play on the page and watch it go to the stage!  Students will be guided through an exploration of their favorite types of characters and how those familiar characters pop up in many stories.  Whether it's the hero(ine), magician, or thief, students will use their voices, bodies, and imaginations as they create unique characters and stories. 

 

Let's Be Creative K-5th

Creating is a fun and exciting way for children to express themselves. Lines, shapes, shading, color, texture and more will be explored in Let's Be Creative. Using active imagination, stories, music and visual references, students experience how elements of drawing, painting and sculpture magically give form to themes from nature, everyday life, fantasy and the inner world of your child. Each session presents new and fun themes. It is also valuable to explore a familiar theme using different materials and reworking it in new and exciting ways.

FRIDAYS

Lip Balm/Gloss Making Class 3rd-5th

Students will take a hands-on approach to learning and creating different types of lip balms, lipsticks, and or lip gloss. This is an exciting new hobby that students can continue even after classes are over. This is a great way to learn about what goes into lip gloss and an even better hobby for leisure.

 

Basketball K-5th

Our coaches will help children of any skill level improve their shooting, ball handling, defense and rebounding while having fun in a lightly competitive environment. Players will work together and compete while they have fun playing in basketball related games like Knockout, Dribble Wars, and Sharks and Minnows. Students will also play in age-appropriate half-court and full-court games.

 

Cooking: Around the World K-5th

During this program, children will spend each day learning & creating cuisines from different countries & cultures. Throughout the course, children will collaborate while learning about the importance of safety & teamwork in the kitchen. They will master the different skills of cutting, like dicing, coring & slicing, and will also learn more about the customary units of volume, like teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, pints & gallons, all while baking delicious goodies!
